Sweet Jesus, Dick Cheney Has Gone One Step Over the Line.

Michael Rostin of Raw Story is reporting that

Vice President Dick Cheney criticized the notion of applying the Geneva Convention to individuals captured in the course of the war on terrorism in a Saturday commencement address at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
Mr. Vice President, if that is what you meant to say, and I hope to God it's not, we don't apply the Geneva Conventions which embrace our basic notions of right and wrong to the terrorists because they deserve it. They clearly don't. We apply those ideals to captives because we aspire to honor the commandments of God, the same and one true God worshipped by Christians, Muslims and Jews alike, more closely and completely than the fundamentalists can even imagine. Well at least most of us do. With a few chickenhawk neocon exceptions, we aspire to the ideals of the Geneva Convention because they are right. You, sir, should be ashamed of yourself for sullying the good name of West Point with your drivel.

Mr. Vice President, the television show 24 is fictional. It isn't real. I don't know what you are smoking sir, but you are one step over the line.
