The eagle eyed Greg Sargent found this Senator Dick Durbin comment made during the debate on GOP efforts to block votes on measures requiring withdrawal from Iraq.
"The Republican leadership has established hurdles and blockades, everything they can find to stop us from a vote that reflects the feelings of the American people. You know why? They're afraid of what the American people want. They're afraid the American people might prevail."Pretty good quote. Republican Party v. America just about sums up what is going on in the Senate.
