John Edwards Is Talking At Dartmouth

Right about now John Edwards is in Hanover, New Hampshire giving what he is billing a major address. The AP has filed an advanced report on the speech indicating that Edwards intends to take some shots at Hillary Clinton. He will argue that her candidacy is "rooted in nostalgia."

"The trouble with nostalgia is that you tend to remember what you liked and forget what you didn't. It's not just that the answers of the past aren't up to the job today, it's that the system that produced them was corrupt _ and still is."
According to the AP Edwards also plans to argue that voters can't expect much if they merely replace
"a group of corporate Republicans with a group of corporate Democrats, just swapping the Washington insiders of one party for the Washington insiders of the other."
It looks like the gloves are coming off. Given Hillary's embrace of the Iraq war in Kansas City earlier this week, Edwards probably senses an opening.
