Here is a factoid you can use to amuse and amaze your friends around the water cooler today. Citing Bloomberg the Huffington Post is reporting that Ken Starr's law firm, Kirkland & Ellis, has given more to Hillary's campaign than to all the top Republican candidates combined.
Kirkland, based in Chicago, is one of several corporate law firms that traditionally backed Republicans where lawyers are turning to Democratic candidates. Lawyers say the change is largely due to disenchantment with the Republican Party's social policies and the war in Iraq.Yeah, right. The realization that they need to suck up to the soon to be ascendant Democrats couldn't have anything to do with Kirkland & Ellis changing sides.
