Senators Dodd and Leahy Ask Our Help In Effort To Restore Habeas Corpus

I just received an email from Patrick Leahy and Chris Dodd urging me to sign a petition supporting the Habeas Corpus Restoration Act. There may be a few things as important, but in my opinion, nothing is more important than restoring Habeas Corpus. Habeas Corpus is the bedrock of the Rule of Law. The Rule of Law is central to American freedoms, the very freedoms we are told Al Qaeda hates. I am going to follow the link and sign up. I suggest you do the same.

S-185 "The Habeas Corpus Restoration Act of 2007" is sponsored by Arlen Specter. The bill has 26 co-sponsors. Blue Girl, Claire McCaskill is one of them. Except for Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Arlen Specter (R-PA) all the sponsors are Democrats. Notably absent from the list of co-sponsors is Joe Lieberman. You might want to ask him why. In fact you might want to ask all the Republicans why they oppose the restoration of America's freedoms. Remind every Republican you encounter that if they are successful in opposing the Restoration of Habeas Corpus, the terrorists will have won.
