Robert Bork Loves Irony, Who Knew?

The Carpetbagger Report picked up on a little announcement in The Wall Street Journal Online. Conservative icon Robert Bork has filed a negligence suit against the Yale Club. Apparently the long time advocate of tort reform slipped and fell at the club last year. "The injury required surgery and months of physical therapy, according to the complaint. He claims to have suffered 'excruciating pain.'" Bork is asking the court award him a million dollars. I bet he is thanking his lucky stars that he has not been totally successful in advancing the cause of "tort reform" If he had been fully successful his lawsuit would never have made it past the courthouse door. As I learned a long time ago, if you are the defendant, every lawsuit is frivolous. If you are a plaintiff, every lawsuit has great legal merit.
